Billing questions

Before you buy

Who am I actually paying, and what shows on my card statement?

Paddle. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for every AFDIM order: it is the seller on the receipt, it collects the money, and its name is what appears on your statement. Support for the software still comes from support@afdim.com.

Does the listed price include tax?

No. Prices exclude tax. Paddle calculates the tax of your country from the country you enter at checkout and adds it to the total before you pay. Paddle collects and remits it, so nothing is charged to you afterwards.

Can I get an invoice with our company tax number on it?

Yes. Paddle issues the invoice, and its checkout has fields for a company name, address and VAT or tax registration number. Enter them before paying and they appear on the invoice.

Can our company pay by bank transfer or against a purchase order?

No. AFDIM is sold only through Paddle: every order is paid in Paddle’s checkout, with the payment methods it offers in your country. The developer takes no bank transfers and signs no paper sales contracts. If your finance team needs a quote first, email support@afdim.com before ordering.

How many computers does one licence cover?

One. For several workstations, buy one licence per computer: each comes with its own licence key.

Do I need a separate licence for each CAD application?

No. One licence runs AFDIM in every CAD application it supports, on the computer it is activated on: AutoCAD®, AutoCAD® Mechanical, ZWCAD, GstarCAD and BricsCAD today. A perpetual licence runs the versions released within its 12 months of updates.

What does a perpetual licence include, and what happens after 12 months?

A perpetual licence never expires. It runs every AFDIM version released in the 12 months after you buy, for good, with support for those 12 months. A version released later does not run with it: the version you have keeps working, and AFDIM tells you about the newer one without installing it. Autodesk releases a new AutoCAD every year, and a new AutoCAD can need a newer AFDIM; so can a new release of another CAD application, or a CAD application AFDIM adds later. If you plan to upgrade your CAD application, or to use AFDIM in one added after your 12 months, renew updates for another 12 months.

What happens when I replace my computer or reinstall Windows?

After reinstalling Windows on the same computer, enter the same key again. For a new computer, release it with About → Move licence to another computer… on the old computer while online, then enter it on the new one. Wait 30 days on the current computer first. Quarterly and yearly keys allow 2 self-service moves in any 365 days. A perpetual key allows 1 move in total, only in the first 365 days after purchase; update renewals do not restore or extend it. For other moves or a broken old computer, email support@afdim.com. Stop using the licence on the old computer.

Can I get a refund?

Yes: a full refund within 14 days of your order, for any reason. Ask at paddle.net or through the link in your receipt, or write to support@afdim.com; Paddle, the Merchant of Record, pays it back to the payment method you used. A refunded licence is terminated. The Refund Policy has the details.
