The short version. AFDIM is a plugin you install into your own copy of full AutoCAD® on Windows. It is made and licensed by one person, TÔ VĂN TÍN, who lives in Vietnam and trades under the brand AFDIM. The developer is not a company. Every order is placed through Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record: Paddle is the seller on your receipt, takes the payment, handles tax and invoices, and processes refunds. Your right to use the software comes from the licence the developer grants under the End User Licence Agreement. The plans are a 7-day trial, quarterly (3 months), yearly and perpetual. Prices are in US dollars on the English pages and in Vietnamese dong on the Vietnamese pages. Quarterly and yearly plans do not renew automatically. Any order can be refunded in full within 14 days, for any reason. A perpetual licence is paid once and runs, for good, the versions released during its 12 months of updates. Each licence works on one computer and arrives as a licence key by email. The software is provided as is, you are responsible for checking every dimension it produces, and liability is limited. Send questions to support@afdim.com.
1. Who these Terms are between
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and TÔ VĂN TÍN (written TO VAN TIN without diacritics), an individual resident in Vietnam who develops and licenses AFDIM (Automatic Feature-based DIMensioning) under the brand AFDIM (the “Seller”). The Seller is a natural person, not a company. The End User Licence Agreement (the “EULA”) calls the same person the “Licensor”.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles order and payment inquiries and returns. Section 4 explains what this means for you.
These Terms apply when you use afdim.com, download or install AFDIM, get a trial or buy a licence. By doing any of these, you agree to these Terms, and continuing to use the website or the software after the Terms change means you accept the changed Terms (section 13 explains what this means for an order already placed). If you do not accept them, do not use the website or the software. If you accept them for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it, and “you” then means that organization.
2. What AFDIM is
AFDIM is a plugin for full AutoCAD® on Windows. It runs inside AutoCAD on your own computer and places dimensions on the drawings you have open. It is not a hosted service: your drawings are processed on your computer and are never uploaded.
- You need your own AutoCAD licence. The Seller does not supply, resell or sublicense any Autodesk product. Your agreement with Autodesk governs your use of AutoCAD.
- AutoCAD LT is not supported. AutoCAD LT cannot load plugins of this kind, so AFDIM does not run in it. Use the 7-day trial to confirm that AFDIM runs with your AutoCAD version before you pay.
- A licence belongs to one computer. You activate it in AFDIM with a licence key or, on a computer without internet, with a signed licence file. You do not need an online account to use AFDIM.
The EULA sets out what you may and may not do with the software. If these Terms and the EULA both cover a licence question, the EULA governs.
3. Plans and prices
| Plan | What you get |
|---|---|
| Trial | 7 days, for evaluation, once per computer. Not extended. No payment. |
| Quarterly (3 months) | Use until the end date of the licence. |
| Yearly | Use until the end date of the licence. |
| Perpetual | No end date. Use, for good, of every version released during the 12 months of updates and support that start with the purchase. |
Prices are shown on afdim.com in US dollars on the English pages and in Vietnamese dong on the Vietnamese pages. The price that applies to an order is the one Paddle’s checkout shows when you pay. Paddle calculates any VAT, GST or sales tax due in your country and shows it before you pay.
- Quarterly and yearly plans do not renew automatically. Each order covers one period, and you are not charged again unless you place another order.
- To renew a quarterly or yearly licence, you order another period. A new licence key is delivered automatically after payment is confirmed. Keep using the old key until it expires, then activate the new key; its period starts at its first activation.
- A perpetual licence is paid once. A version released after its 12 months of updates does not run with it, and a new AutoCAD release can need a newer AFDIM. To get later versions, you order an update renewal: 12 more months of updates and support, which the Seller adds to the same licence, from the end of its current update period if it has not passed yet, or from the renewal if it has. An update renewal does not renew automatically either. Section 3 of the EULA sets out the details.
4. Ordering and paying through Paddle
You order on the pricing page at afdim.com. Its Buy button opens a checkout run by Paddle (the entity named on the receipt) (“Paddle”), which sells the licence to you as reseller and Merchant of Record. For your order this means:
- Paddle is the seller on your receipt and the name on your card or bank statement.
- Paddle takes the payment, with the payment methods its checkout offers in your country. Card and bank details are entered only in Paddle’s checkout; the Seller never receives them.
- Paddle calculates, collects and pays the VAT, GST or sales tax due on the order, and emails you the receipt. If you enter a company name and tax number in the checkout, they appear on Paddle’s invoice.
- Paddle processes refunds and chargebacks, as section 7 and the Refund Policy describe.
- Paddle’s Buyer Terms, at paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms, apply to the purchase between you and Paddle.
The Seller does not take payment for a licence directly, by bank transfer or otherwise. The Seller is an individual and does not issue Vietnamese VAT invoices (hóa đơn GTGT); the receipt and invoice for an order come from Paddle.
The licence to use AFDIM is granted by the Seller, as Licensor, under the EULA. Support for the software comes from the Seller.
5. Getting your licence
After Paddle confirms your payment, the Seller sends a licence key, AFDIM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, to the email address you gave in the checkout. You enter it in AFDIM on the computer that will use the licence, and AFDIM activates it over the internet. The first computer that activates a key is the one the key is for.
On a computer without internet, you activate by exchanging files instead:
- In AutoCAD, AFDIM produces a licence request, either as a one-line request code or as a request file.
- You send the request to support@afdim.com from afdim.com/account/, with your Paddle order number.
- The Seller checks the request and the order, and issues a signed licence file for that computer.
- You load the licence file into AFDIM.
Licence delivery time: within 3 business days after Paddle confirms the payment or, for a licence file, after a complete request is received. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Vietnamese public holidays, in the ICT (UTC+7) time zone; every mention of business days in these Terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy means this.
For a quarterly or yearly licence, another purchase delivers a new key: use it after the old key expires. For a perpetual update renewal, verify your existing perpetual licence key on afdim.com before opening checkout. After Paddle confirms payment, the same key receives the paid extension automatically and you receive a confirmation email; AFDIM can collect the new update period in the background, or you can enter the same key again. The key is sent only to the licence server; Paddle receives an opaque reference, not the key. A licence issued as a file, or an order that cannot be verified, requires support; contact support before paying for a file-based renewal.
The Privacy Policy describes what activation and licence requests send. They carry the details needed to issue the licence and match it to your order, plus one-way hashes of identifiers of the computer. They never contain drawing content.
6. One licence, one computer
A licence works only on the computer it was issued for. You may not use one licence on several computers at the same time.
- Moving to another computer. A licence activated with a key can be released from AFDIM itself, with Move licence to another computer…, and then activated on the new computer, after 30 days on the current computer: a quarterly or yearly key at most twice in any 365 days, and a perpetual key once in total, only in the first 365 days after purchase. Update renewals do not restore that move or extend its window. Otherwise, or if the old computer is broken or lost, write to support@afdim.com and the Seller will re-issue the licence for the new computer; a licence on a computer that has stopped working for good is always moved.
- Reinstalling Windows on the same hardware needs no new licence: enter the same key again, or load the same licence file.
Once a licence moves, your right to use it on the previous computer ends, and you must stop using AFDIM there under that licence.
7. Refunds and chargebacks
Refunds are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record, under Paddle’s refund policy and the Refund Policy on this site. In short:
- You can get a full refund within 14 days of your order, for any reason, change of mind included. Ask through Paddle (paddle.net, or the link in your receipt) or by writing to support@afdim.com with your order number.
- Paddle pays refunds back to the payment method you used.
- A licence that is refunded or charged back is terminated. Its licence key is deactivated, it is not re-issued or renewed, and you must stop using AFDIM under it.
Please try the 7-day trial first, and write to support@afdim.com before you ask your bank or card issuer to reverse a payment.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use AFDIM beyond the licences you hold, or use one licence on several computers at the same time;
- copy, resell, rent, lend or otherwise distribute AFDIM to third parties;
- give a licence key to anyone outside your organization, or offer it for sale;
- disable, circumvent or tamper with the licensing, activation, licence-check or update mechanisms, or edit a licence file;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble AFDIM, except where applicable law permits it despite this restriction;
- remove or obscure any copyright, trademark or licence notice;
- use the website or the software to break the law, commit fraud, send spam, infringe anyone’s rights or spread malware;
- attack, overload, probe or scan for weaknesses, scrape, or try to gain unauthorized access to afdim.com, the update server or the licence server.
Your drawings are yours. The Seller claims no rights in the drawings, dimensions or other data you produce with AFDIM, and has no access to them.
9. Updates, availability and support
AFDIM checks a signed update feed at update.afdim.com for new versions. The check sends no drawing content, no licence data and nothing about your computer. You can turn off automatic checking in AFDIM’s settings. If a new release changes the licence terms, AFDIM asks you to accept the new terms before that update installs. Section 7 of the EULA and the Privacy Policy give the details.
The website, the update feed and the licence server are provided on a reasonable-effort basis. They may be unavailable during maintenance or because of failures outside the Seller’s control. There is no uptime guarantee. The Seller may stop developing, selling or supporting AFDIM; section 3 of the EULA sets out what a perpetual licence keeps then.
Support is by email at support@afdim.com and, in Vietnamese, also by phone or Zalo message at 0865877769 during business hours (8:00 to 17:00 ICT on business days). The Seller aims to reply within 1 business day, as section 5 defines it. Support for a perpetual licence lasts as long as its updates. There is no on-site support.
10. Intellectual property and trademarks
The Seller owns AFDIM, its documentation, this website and the AFDIM name. You receive a licence to use the software. Nothing is sold to you, and you get no rights beyond those in the EULA.
AutoCAD® is a registered trademark of Autodesk, Inc. The name is used only to say which software AFDIM works with. AFDIM is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk, Inc.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AFDIM and the website are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. The Seller does not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
AFDIM places dimensions. It does not check that a drawing is correct, complete or fit to manufacture. You remain responsible for checking every dimension AFDIM produces before it is used for cutting, machining or fabrication.
If consumer law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, this section does not limit them.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Seller is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. This includes lost profits, lost data, scrapped material and production downtime.
The Seller’s total liability under any circumstances will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the licence during the preceding 12 months or, for a perpetual licence, the amount you actually paid for that licence and its update renewals.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Changes to these Terms
The Seller may update these Terms, for example when a plan or a legal requirement changes. The current version is the one published on this page, with its revision number and the date it came into force at the top. An order you have already placed stays under the version that was in force on the order date.
Changes to the licence terms follow the EULA: a release that changes them asks you to accept the new terms before it installs.
14. Termination
You may stop using AFDIM at any time by uninstalling it. Refunds follow section 7 and the Refund Policy.
Termination, withdrawal and assignment follow sections 10 and 11 of the EULA, including notice, remedy, preservation of paid rights and consent where legally required.
Sections 8, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16 continue to apply after termination.
15. Transfer and other terms
Assignment of rights and obligations follows section 11 of the EULA. The successor must preserve purchased rights and assume all transferred obligations; any consent required by law must be obtained.
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. These Terms and the EULA are the entire agreement between you and the Seller on their subject matter. Your purchase from Paddle is governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms.
Languages. These Terms and the other documents at afdim.com/legal/ are published in English and in Vietnamese, with the same content. A customer who buys or uses AFDIM through the Vietnamese pages of afdim.com is bound by the Vietnamese text, and a customer who uses the English pages by the English text. Where the two can be read differently, the reading more favourable to the consumer applies.
16. Complaints, disputes and governing law
Complaints. If something about AFDIM, a licence, an order or this website is wrong, tell the Seller first:
- by email to support@afdim.com, which keeps a record of what was said;
- by phone or Zalo message at 0865877769, in Vietnamese, during business hours (8:00 to 17:00 ICT on business days); or
- by post to the address in section 17.
Say what happened, what you expected and, for an order, the order number. The Seller confirms that the complaint has arrived within 1 business day, and within 7 business days of receiving it answers with the outcome or, if more time is really needed, with the reason and the date by which you will have the outcome. A complaint about a payment, a charge, tax or a refund is answered together with Paddle, which took the payment. Complaints about personal data follow the same steps, as section 12 of the Privacy Policy describes.
Disputes. If the answer does not settle the matter, the parties try to settle it by negotiation in good faith. If you are a consumer, you may also ask for mediation, or ask a consumer protection organization or the competent authority for help, as the law where you live allows. A dispute that is not settled this way is brought before a competent court in Vietnam.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the law of Vietnam. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live still apply.

- Postal address: Đông Môn Residential Group, Hòa Bình Ward, Hải Phòng City, Vietnam (postal code 04308). Formal notices may be sent to the email address below.

Receipts, invoices and payment questions are handled by Paddle: see paddle.net, or reply to your receipt email. You can also write to support@afdim.com with your order number.
Consistency rule: supported CAD releases and editions are those advertised by the installer and download page for the relevant release; references to AutoCAD do not expand or narrow that scope. Refund consequences, termination and assignment follow EULA sections 10–11; refunding a renewal preserves the paid perpetual licence. The full 14-day refund guarantee is AFDIM’s voluntary commitment in addition to mandatory rights; AFDIM is responsible for arranging it through Paddle.
